A new public bonded warehouse next to the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport cargo terminal is up and running, Logistics Week reported.

Being the only public customs-supervised warehouse in Guangzhou's Huadu District, the CNY3 billion (US$439.5 million) facility covers 146.7 hectares with one million square metres of warehousing space.

The facility offers 24-hour customs clearance.Shipments can be cleared within the same day of arrival. It mainly caters to third party logistics providers at home and abroad, multi-national manufacturers and international buyers in sectors of air express,IT, telecommunication, electronics, fashion, luxury products, jewels, perishable goods, frozen food and precision instruments.
