FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department show the port handled 2.1 million TEU in July, an increase of 9.7 per cent over the 1.9 million in July of last year.

Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority reported a 13.5 per cent increase in container movement in July, having handled 2.5 million TEU compared to 2.2 million TEU in July of last year.
