THE year 2010 was the most successful year for IBS Software Services, which provides IT solutions for air transport and the logistics industry.

The company said it provided 55 successful solutions around the world last year. IBS is the only company that has developed IT solutions across all areas of the air transportation industry - passenger, cargo and airline and airport operations.

Its customers include airlines, airports, cruise lines, oil and gas companies and hotels. Chief executive VK Mathews said 14 airlines had switched over to IBS' solutions last year.

iCargo, the air cargo management solution that IBS co-developed with five major carriers in 2005, is its most successful product which has become the market leader in Japan, with All Nippon Airways and Tokyo International Air Cargo Terminal switching over to iCargo.
